It was Men against Boys at Leigh Miners and the Boys came out on top. In wet conditions a very well drilled and youth full Miners side played expansive rugby league and were too strong for the Hindpool team. A few  poor decisions early on by a very young ref saw Hindpool heads drop as they came out with nothing from some good early pressure. A youth full pack working well to tire Hindpool was the foundation letting Miners impressive back line continue to punch holes in the tiring Hindpool defence. The impressive Chris Archer always looked alert and like he could spark something to life for Hindpool but the strong Miners defence worked well to keep Hindpool to Nil. The Hindpool lads never gave up and are due credit for the effort they showed on the day. Miners choice for Hindpool man of the Match was Chris Archer
